Alchemy

A Tarot reader’s deck is as intimate as a lover’s kiss. Now, drawn to Robert Place’s artistry, I’m captured to the mysteries of his Alchemical Tarot by the classic styling and illustrations of the mysteries of alchemy.

Alchemical Tarot

Alchemical Tarot. Renewed 4th edition, by Robert Place.

A Tarot reader’s deck is as intimate as a lover’s kiss. It’s said that the deck chooses the reader, not the other way around. My first Tarot deck was Kate Black’s Golden Tarot. The deck’s Renaissance imagery ignited my imagination and rekindled a passion for reading images and symbols on Tarot cards that has only grown through cultivation of intuition and practice. Later, Aleister Crowley‘s Thoth Tarot grabbed me by the jugular and deepened my understanding of the oracle through readings that guided me through dark and challenging times. Now, drawn to Robert Place‘s artistry, I’m lost to the mysteries of his Alchemical Tarot by the classic styling and illustrations of the mysteries of alchemy. Here, male and female figures embody the esoteric secrets of the ages, urging me on to continue my journey of self-discovery toward my final destination of spiritual enlightenment.
